Cookie Policy
Last updated: 28 April 2026
What are cookies
Cookies are small text files that a website saves on your computer, tablet, or phone when you visit. They often include an identifier, an expiry time, and sometimes data about how you use the site. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, and pixels used for measurement.
This policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how personal information is handled more broadly.
How we use cookies
On microtripgo.com we use cookies to keep the experience secure (for example detecting repeated failed logins if we add accounts), remember your cookie consent choices so we do not ask on every page view, maintain wishlist or form state where those features rely on browser storage, and—only if you opt in—collect aggregated statistics about popular pages and referral sources.
We do not use cookies to read unrelated files on your device or to run cryptocurrency miners.
Types we use
Essential: Strictly necessary for the site to operate, including consent storage, load balancing, and fraud prevention. These cannot be switched off through our banner.
Analytics: Optional first- or third-party tools that help us understand aggregate traffic patterns. IP addresses may be truncated before storage.
Marketing: Optional tags that measure whether promotional campaigns led to visits or enquiries. We do not sell cookie data to data brokers.
Preferences: Remember choices such as reduced motion or newsletter dismissal where we implement them.
Third-party cookies
If we embed content from maps, video hosts, social networks, or payment gateways, those providers may set their own cookies subject to their policies. We aim to load non-essential embeds only after consent where technically feasible.
Managing cookies
You can withdraw or change consent at any time through the “Manage preferences” link in our cookie banner or footer where available. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings; note that blocking essential cookies may break parts of the site such as checkout or wishlist sync.
Consent banner
On your first visit we display a banner with Accept, Decline (non-essential off), and Manage options. Essential cookies load immediately. Analytics and marketing load only after you accept those categories or adjust toggles and save.
Retention
Consent records are kept long enough to prove compliance. Analytics cookies typically expire between one session and twenty-four months depending on the vendor. See vendor documentation linked from our preference centre when we add specific tools.
Updates
We may revise this Cookie Policy when we add new technologies or regulators publish new guidance. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the current version.
